(The webinar is offered in French with simultaneous interpretation in English.)
This webinar addresses situations of racism experienced by students during internships and the challenges these pose for college settings. Drawing on testimonials collected from Nursing students, it offers insights into possible responses to racism, both for those directly affected and for ally witnesses. The focus is on the importance of breaking the silence and developing a collective responsibility for responding.
The presentation provides an opportunity to explore the ASQE approach (Acknowledge, Support, Question, Educate), a practical tool for supporting students and staff. It demonstrates how to integrate the fight against racism as a professional and pedagogical competency in order to create safer, more inclusive, and equitable learning environments.
