Call for Proposals for the 2026 Meeting on Research in College Pedagogy

From Draft to Convergence

An incubator for research in college pedagogy

The second edition of the Meeting on Research in College Pedagogy, presented as part of the AQPC's 2026 annual symposium, takes the form of an incubator for ideas aimed at supporting educational research in the college network. This space is intended to be welcoming, reflective, and collaborative, designed for those whose research projects are in the early stages.
In a network where research in pedagogy is often conducted in isolation, this incubator offers a unique setting for sharing the questions, intuitions, and tacit knowledge that inform pedagogical practices, while building bridges between colleges, disciplines, and experiences.

The Meeting consists of two complementary parts:

Part 1 – Drafts (call for proposals): Brief presentations of draft projects, ideas, or pedagogical issues, followed by group discussions with experienced researchers.
Part 2 – Convergences (open activity): Identification of areas for sustainable collaboration and formation of potential research teams bringing together researchers and practitioners from the network.
Supported by the AQPC, this Meeting is an extension of the Convergences in College Research and Pedagogy community of practice. It aims to strengthen the legitimacy and visibility of college research, promote the next generation of researchers, and consolidate a culture of pedagogical innovation and sharing within the network.
Do you have a research idea, a pedagogical question, or a project in the works?
Participate in Component 1 – Drafts to benefit from collective intelligence and receive feedback from experienced researchers. During the Meeting, present a project idea or issue to explore in five minutes, then exchange with peers and people with research expertise to develop theoretical, methodological, or operational avenues.
Presentation criteria for Component 1 – Drafts:
In 200 words or less:
  • Describe the pedagogical issue you would like to explore in a formal research project. Don't worry about defining your idea precisely: it is understood that your project is still in the draft stage.
  • Explain why it is important for you to study this issue: is it a concern that has arisen from your professional practice, your contact with students, or the implementation of programs? Tell us what motivates you to explore it!
Selection criteria:
  • The question submitted is of pedagogical nature.
  • It could constitute a research question.
  • It is rooted in current concerns that are clearly stated and have not yet been sufficiently explored in research.
  • It has the potential to lead to results or outcomes that can be transferred to the college community.
