Call for proposals

Envisioning the full range of what’s possible in pedagogy: what a great way to approach this 43rd edition of the annual symposium of the Association québécoise de pédagogie collégiale (AQPC)!

Join us in the Outaouais region from June 5 to 7, 2024, for Canada's largest professional development and networking event. The Cégep de l'Outaouais, Cégep Héritage College and the AQPC invite all educators to this unique and privileged opportunity.

This year's theme, At the Confluence of Possibilities, refers to the convergence of different ideas and perspectives that meet and interact. This confluence offers opportunities for inspiring learning, encounter and exchange. The transcendence of boundaries, creativity and potential foster the emergence of significant discoveries that are meaningful for the future of college teaching.

At the Confluence of Possibilities means:
  • exploring new concepts, ideas and approaches;
  • encountering different cultures, perspectives and experiences to promote diversity and inclusion;
  • multiplying and intertwining innovative and traditional pedagogical approaches to promote student success;
  • creating a harmonious transition where different pathways meet;
  • offering multidisciplinary collaborative practices conducive to the development of an enriching and authentic pedagogical/educational experience;
  •  recognizing that the reality of college requires flexible approaches;
  • reducing the boundaries between data obtained through research and practice;
  • engaging in a professionalizing/reflective approach.
It is with this multidirectional theme in mind—At the Confluence of Possibilities— that the AQPC has drafted this call for proposals for its next symposium.
The steering committee welcomes proposals for presentations and workshops from all CEGEPs and colleges in Quebec and elsewhere, as well as from universities and schools. It also invites individuals from the research community and partners from networks associated with education in Quebec, Canada and other countries to come and share their experiences, thoughts and research results pertaining to the annual theme as well as on related topics of interest to higher education.
Those interested in submitting a proposal can do so until January 14, 2024.
