(The webinar is offered in French with simultaneous interpretation in English.)
A group at UQAM has designed an asynchronous Moodle course to educate students on the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in law. The course lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and emphasizes a strong disciplinary foundation, genuinely incorporating the student perspective through modules on legal research, prompt formulation, identifying the limits of AI and ethical reflection. The project emerged from a collaboration between UQAM's Department of Legal Sciences (thanks to Josianne Rioux-Collin), the Centre for Innovation and University Pedagogy, and a group of students.
Supported by PARES, this webinar will present the co-creation process, the course structure, its impact in the classroom, and avenues for adapting it to college and university settings.
