From Motivation to Commitment: A Multi-Dimensional Process Related to Student Success
What happens between the start of term, when students are enthusiastic and motivated, and the end of session, when many have lost interest and are dragging their heels? According to the author, we must explore the concept of commitment, which, while related to motivation, also encompasses several other dimensions. By familiarizing themselves more with the different aspects commitment can take with students, we can adjust our instructional strategies in order to promote and maintain student commitment throughout the term.
