Bio-Ecology Students and Research : When Passion Becomes Contagious
For many students, research constitutes a powerful stimulant. In an interview conducted by colleague Chantal Provost, Marie-Josée Gauvin, a research educational advisor and biology teacher at the CÉGEP de Saint-Laurent, relates how she helps her students launch research projects. While it is true that teacher supervision is key to the success of such an approach, students’ motivation and involvement also play a major role (as demonstrated, in particular, by their participation in competitions hosted by the Association pour la recherche collégial (ARC)).
The Centre de documentation collégiale (CDC) offers an extensive collection of documents on college-level education and on education in general, produced by professionals in leading facilities and organizations.
