These days, “professional development” involves the possibility of using a multitude of Websites, blogs, and applications to get ahead with social media. This article, which, inter alia, discusses the findings of a study involving numerous teachers with different characteristics, shows how social media can provide educators with a chance to improve their teaching methods and develop new strategies in order to enhance students’ learning experience or discuss their discipline with experts. It also provides a number of valuable tips to help readers make the most of these resources for professional purposes.
