How to submit articles for consideration

Articles are to be sent and published in French in the printed version of the magazine.

However, the editorial board welcomes articles written in English. If these articles are accepted, they will be translated into French and published in the printed version of the magazine. They will be kept in their original English version on the AQPC website.

Deadline for articles

No 1 (Fall) - August 1 (publication: October)
No 2 (Winter) – September 15 (publication: December)
No 3 (Spring) - January 1 (publication: March)
No 4 (Summer) – February 15 (publication: May)

The articles should not exceed 4000 words, including footnotes, references, the abstract (if included), tables, and figures. Footnotes and references must be indicated as such in the text.)

Please note that an article received before the deadline, and accepted, will not be automatically published in the next issue.

Presentation standards

Articles submitted for publication should be sent to the chief editor of Pédagogie collégiale, using one of the following methods:

  • By e-mail.
  • By regular mail to the business address of the Association. If regular mail is used, we recommend a CD-ROM be included along with a hard copy of the article.

Articles submitted must include the following information on the author:

  • Author’s name;
  • Occupation (in the case of a teacher, please specify the discipline and/or specialty);
  • Establishment or organization where the author works;
  • Telephone numbers at work and home;
  • E-mail address (if available).

Footnotes and references must be indicated as such in the text.

  • Evaluation of articles submitted

The Editorial board evaluates articles using the following criteria:

Subject

  • Agrees with the orientations of the magazine.
  • Interests a large segment of the magazine’s readership.
  • Deals with a topical issue.

Content

  • Contribution to the development of new models, theories, practices and philosophy on collegial teaching.
  • Critique on current practices and principles in collegial teaching.
  • Coherence of subject matter.
  • Strength of arguments.
  • Richness of documentation.
  • Transferability.
  • Applicability.

Form

  • Verbal-linguistic quality.
  • Appealing pedagogical format.
  • Concise style
  • Usefulness of tables and illustrations (if included).
  • Usefulness and relevance of titles and sub-titles.

Reprints and copyrights

Any article published in Pédagogie collégiale can be reproduced as long the source is mentioned.

Authors whose articles are published in Pédagogie collégiale do not receive any money or royalties.

Print run

The magazine Pédagogie collégiale has a print run of 2,800 copies.
