Professional Integration: The Collège de Maisonneuve Experience
Two educational advisors from the CÉGEP de Maisonneuve share the formula adopted by the institution to give new teachers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the profession. The “Enseigner à Maisonneuve, une introduction” [Teaching at Maisonneuve: An Introduction] activity constitutes an excellent introduction to the educational context as regards the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning, with a view to helping new teachers explore and take ownership of their role. In addition to promoting knowledge transfer, this activity accurately reflects the concerns and needs of new teachers via feedback and assessment, which figure prominently.
